TVYM Drug Demand Reduction There is a lot of information on the use of drugs in popular culture, on the Internet, and in daily conversation with friends and peers. Some of the information is accurate, but much of it is not. Find out as much as you can about illegal, legal, prescription drugs, and even over-the-counter drugs, and their effects on your body and your brain. Also, there are legal consequences for growing, manufacturing and dealing drugs, or providing them to willing or unwilling users. In many states, possessing drugs for personal use, or with the intent to distribute is against the law. Check out the DEA's web site and remember it is not hard to just think twice and refuse drugs or peer pressure.

CO's word Updated on 12/21/09: Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting Justin Green. He first came to the Temecula Valley Young Marines in 2002 as a Lance Corporal in the USMC when our HQ was at the Murrieta Fire Station. He started volunteering in the Young Marines as a Young Marine Instructor and became the TVYM Senior Drill Instructor.  He was an active volunteer with TVYM for over 3 years.  He has always stayed in touch with us… Attending the retirement ceremony of YM/Sgt Maj. Katie Aguilar and YM/Sgt. Zachariah Taylor, as well as dropping in at a yard sale, or just to check in on how everything was going. That young LCpl is now Staff Sergeant Green and married to a lovely young lady named Missy. About 3 weeks ago SSgt Green was on his Harley Davidson as a volunteer he was on a ride with other US Marines for a Toys for Tots drive. There was an accident.  SSgt Green has been in the hospital on Camp Pendleton for the last three weeks.  He has recently been moved to another hospital where he will be going through recovery and physical therapy to help him through his injuries
