A Busy December 2008

 

It was another busy month of December for the Young Marines on December 5th the young Marines were at their top as they marched in the city's anuual Christmas parade . The theme for this year's parade was Christmas around the world, so keeping in the spirit of the parade going the Young Marines dressed up in Christmas attire and then made card board cut outs of thier Country's that they had chosen at the last drill. It was afun time had by all Mr. Tashoff and CO Guiles carried the blown up globe for the whole parade route . Mrs. Riopelle walked in front with a Temecula Valley Young Marines sign. While all of the Young Marines would walk around the globe and yell 'Merry Christams" to all of the spectators , . As the Young Mariens got to the Judges satnd they stopped and Yelled Merry Christmas from their Country. as the Young Mariens rounded the corner they were met by another annoucer that paid them a great tribute the Young Marines ended their parade march and took time for a few snapshots before going home , .

On December 6th, the Temecula Valley Young Marines provided help for the City of Murrieta's Candlight Vigil. The Young Mariens Color Guard was present for the vigil annd did an outstanding job ,, , , . The Cndleight Vigil was to honor all of the service men and women in the Inland Empire who have been killed in action. Sgt. Major David Barragan (USMC, Ret) gave a very motivating and inspirational speech. Organizers collected canned food donations for military families in need. The donations will go to Military Outreach Ministry Camp Pendleton, a nonprofit group that supports young military families, for distribution.
