Cornerstone Concert ~ The Barlow Girls

On Friday, April 4th 2008, the Temecula Valley Young Marines were asked to provide support for the Barlow girls concert at the Cornerstone Community Church, this is the third year the Temecula Valley Young Marines have supported the fundraising efforts of Rancho Damacitas and their concerts.  The Young Marines were assigned various tasks like, parking detail ,, , security , , ushers, and police call. The evening began at 1700 with the unit arriving and enjoying a dinner from the church , ,, , . During dinner YM/1st Sgt. Aguilar walked around and handed out the various job assignments to the Young Marines and Parents The time came for the Young Marines to man their posts, the security force walked around and ensured that all of the Young Marines were safe and taken care of. Some parents volunteered to help out with the concert souvenirs and some of the other booths. Our Young Marines looked good as they worked as ushers helping people find their seats and ensuring they were all taken to the right places. Our security ensured the lines were formed and kept from being broken while the Barlow girls signed autographs. The parking and traffic force did a great job directing vehicles where to park in a huge field.  All in all it was a successful night for Rancho Damacitas’ fundraiser, for the church and a great concert, and for the more than 1200 guests.
