Christmas for the Troops

On the 19th of November2008, the Temecula Valley Young Marines adopted two units that are currently deployed to Iraq for Christmas. Special Operations Task Force West (SOTF-W) and forward deployed unit, ACE VMGR-352. The packages and boxes were dropped by CO Guiles to be loaded onto the transport plane. When CO Guiles dropped off the boxes it seems other boxes were going to be stacked on the pallet with the DVD boxes. When CO Guiles asked what was in the boxes, he found out that the boxes had been packed with the units DVDs that had been given to another organization to pack for Christmas to be handed out to the troops. The organization never was never able to get all of the packages off to the troops so they were placed in a warehouse for about 6 months. The packages made their way back to the Temecula Valley Young Marines via an airlift for the troops. The D6 pallets were lifted off and arrived in Iraq alnog the Young Marines packages. some of the gifts and three boxes of DVDs went to ACE VMGR-352. Lt. Boudreau recieved two pallets for his unit Special Operations Task Force West (SOTF-W). It took the Navy a convoy of vehicles and a little man power to haul all of the packages back to the command center , , , , . The Sailors seemed to enjoy their Christmas packages
