November 16th, Day 9:

Renville was at 0200 today everyone met downstairs at 0230 and loaded the vehicles. The Hotel managers said we were the best Youth group that had stayed at their hotel.  They had no problems. All vehicles loaded up and away we went on our last adventure back to the airport. We arrived at the airport with a few bumps and almost missed the flight. Amid tight security I kept the unit together by telling TSA they will not split up our unit or let anyone merge into us. With an odd look the TSA Security guard looked at all of the Young Marines in Cammies and me in mine and replied, “not a problem sir.” With that we proceeded to the checkpoint everyone made it through YM/LCpl. Redick was put into a glass box and searched. And away we went we got on the Dulles airport tram I pushed civilians to the side and we moved very quickly through the airport with people getting out of our way. We arrived on the plane and took our seats. After take off I walked down the aisle to check on our Young Marines a few times at one point I sat down and woke up 30 minutes before we were landing in Denver. We landed in Denver and Mrs. Guiles had everyone get out their unit deployment guidebooks.  We bought muffins for breakfast. And off we went to California, we landed at 1030 twenty minutes ahead of schedule. All gear was collected all personnel accounted for Young Marine Gunnery Sergeant Guiles dismissed the company and away they went. I left the airport at 1145 to ensure everyone was taken care of. Ooh Rah, Temecula Valley another successful deployment. Mrs. Guiles will be working on your deployment books they will be handed out at the unit’s Christmas party as a gift from the unit.
