UK Weather

For the month of July the Weather in the United Kingdom is between 86 and 90 degrees. With possible monsoon rains.

Uniforms

All Young Marines must have two dress uniforms for wear while deployed in the United Kingdom. This will consist of One Bravo or Alpha uniform and One Charlie. he Civilian drees uniform will be tan Docker style trousers and two Unit polo shirts. Cammies will be used when training.

Exchnage rate

As of righ tnow the current exchnage rate is 1 British pound to 1.7 US dollars.

Communication

Communication between deployed Young Marines and home may be in and out due to time differances and the availability of phone service. The CO will try to update the unit website dailiy while deployed.

Training

Training will take palce in the United Kingdom the same as in the United States. We will attempt to have at least one encampment with Land Navigation included.

Passports

All Young Marines and Staff must have a passport to travel overseas. The use of a Passport ID card cannot be used this is for travel from the US to Mexico and Canada. right now the it is 3-4 weeks for passports to be processed and can cost around $75. Please do not get your passport unless you are sure your Young Marine will be going with us. And that you have confirmation from the CO's go list that your Young Marine is eligible to deploy.
