On September 18th the Temecula Valley Young Marines color guard was at the new Pechanga golf course to present the colors. The Young Marines arrived at the golf course and were dressed and ready to go. The Young Marines were asked by Mr. Charlie Pate to present the colors on behalf of the Temecula Valley Whishes for Children program http://www.wishesforchildren.org/wfc/index.html.

The wishes for Children Foundation is a non-profit organization that collaborates with local charities. Their only commitment is to raise money that will help children right here in the Temecula Valley. To accomplish this goal, they seek many avenues, ventures and projects including scholarships, donations to children's charities, special events, golf tournaments and so on. Through strictly volunteer efforts, we have built alliances with many other foundations, charities and organizations that have rendered us the opportunity to provide for needy children in many different capacities.
The color guard included Young Marines MSgt. Guiles, Sgt. Blake, Sgt. Aguilar, and Cpl. Munoz. Also in attendance were XO Aguilar, Mrs. Blake and CO Guiles.  The Young Marines had lunch provided for them , afterwords they practiced until everyone was ready to begin ,, . As the time grew near the Young Marines got into their positions the Young Marines marched up to their mark and presented the colors as a young lady sang the National Anthem , . As the Young Marines retired the colors a parachutist was dropped off with the American flag attached to his legs , .

As always the Young Marines received applause Ooh-Rahs!! And thank yous it was an outstanding performance by our color guard. Way to go Young Marines!!!
