. That was really fun you really had to stay in step or you would all fall
,
. The moment finally arrived though when CO Guiles was put into a wooden cutout Mr. Masters (one of the unit’s parents) made. The CO stuck his head in and everyone started to laugh before the CO was pied he stepped out to see what his head was stuck on . Mr. Masters made the cut out board and Mrs. Gray drew and painted a picture of a beautiful female Sailors body (her name tag read Seaman Guiles)
. CO guiles go a huge kick out of the picture and stuck his head back through the cutout hole. The pies started flying and a lot of them hit the CO, as soon as someone stepped up to the line the CO would start mocking the Young Marines or tiring to scare them

. Some of the Young Marines were laughing so hard they could not even through their own pies. Since the pie throwing was not limited to the Young Marines their families got involved
,
,
, . There 63 Young Marines present and each one bought a pie or two and some even four. With all of the Young Marines and their families present there was a total of 132 people at our fundraising BBQ and Pie the CO in the face. It was probably the most fun anyone has had at a Barbeque in a long time. Everyone Young Marines and their families had a great time

. The CO was a mess

but he was laughing they had to use a hose to wash the CO off. Before the Barbeque was even near it’s end the Young Marines started talking about throwing a pie into the CO’s face. It was a motivating day for all of us and a great way to build our unit’s cohesion with Young Marines, Staff and families. Ohh-Rah Young Marines and their families.
