           YEEEE....HAAAAAW!!!! On April 19th the Temecula Valley Young Marines helped open up the Roy Rogers Rangers First mounted practice competition of 2010.

On January, 10th the Temecula Valley Young marines started the year off with a bang!!! The Young Marines were asked by the Roy Rogers Rangers to help set in balloons for their first practice of 2010. The Young Marines showed up in force and had a great time running out and placing the balloons up for the riders to shoot their black powder pistols at them , , , . Some of the Young Marines were assigned to place the balloons in their holders while YM/Sgt. Major Guiles blew up the balloons with YM/Cpl. Munoz.

During the Young Marines lunch time break they explored the old western world of Audie Murphy’s old western Town. Yes the Audie Murphy World War II army hero and the most decorated person in the US military , . For more information on Audie Murphy visit his memorial website www.audiemurphy.com/ . While the Young Marines explored the CO found some huge boulders to play on, the Young Marines and the male adult staff climbed all over the boulders , ,. It was a pretty cool place and a lot of picture opportunities.

The Young Marines finished lunch and their exploration of the boulders and went right back to work. It was a long day and unusually warm for January but it was another fun and adventuresome day.
