
If you are going to summit with the unit you must maintain your health the best way to do this is to refer to your Young Marine or unit Recruit Training Manual. and read the Nutrition section. eating right is the best way to ensure a healthy body. Remember you have to be healthy to summit below are some things that can keep you from summiting:
1. Weight - too much weight can overburden your Cardio vascular system , Knees, Ankles or Back
2. Asthma - At certain altitudes Asthma attacks can occur people with Asthma or upper respitory problems are prone to "HAS" .
3. Cold's or recent illness can preclude you from summiting due to the possibility of "LAS" or "HAS".
4. Anyone with a recently injured knees, ankles, shoulders or backs cannot summit.
5. People prone to migraines or nosebleeds cannot summit over a certain altitude.
6. Above all you have to have the ability to push yourself above and beyond your normal limits.
7. Bad grades in school remember the units GPA standards are 2.0 with no "F's".
