John Colvin

In Novermber 2011, UC Colvin became the 6th Unit Commander of the Temecula Valley Young Marines. UC Colvin will be helping to promote the 10th anniversary of the Temecula Valley Young Marines.

March 2006 ~ July 2011

Michael Guiles

On March 11th 2006, CO Guiles became the 4th Commanding Officer of the Temecula Valley Young Marines. CO Guiles has since broken the Company into 3 platoons, as well as implementing a Young Marines Security Force, an aggressive anti drug program and has developed a 12 month training Matrix for the Company. CO Guiles had led the Company into recieveing unit awards such as the National and Divison 6 Unit of the Year and just recently a second Distinguished Unit Citation a first for any Young Marine unit. CO Guiles left the Temecula Valley Young Marines in July of 2011 to work at the Young Marines National Headquarters as the Mobile Training team Coordinator.

CO Moreno

Commanding Officer

November 2004 ~ March 2006

Kevin Moreno

On November 10 2004, Kevin Moreno received the command of the Temecula Valley Young Marines on the Marine Memorial in Washington, DC from CO Guiles to become the 3rd Commanding Officer for this unit. CO Moreno spent 12 years on active duty in 9th Communications Battalion he was medically retired from serious injuries received while on active duty. CO Moreno handed the Command of the Temecula Valley Young Marines back to Michael Guiles in March of 2006, after he and his wife Brenda Moreno made the decision to move to Colorado upon CO Moreno's retirement.

March 2003 ~ November 2005

Michael Guiles

In March of 2003, the Temecula Valley Young Marines welcomed their new Commanding Officer Michael Guiles. CO Guiles spent 15 years on active duty with the fighting 5th Marines, until he was discharged from severe injuries suffered during a training accident. CO Guiles has re-structured the Temecula Valley Young Marines from the ground up. The unit is now one of the most active Young Marine units to date. CO Guiles Guiles' efforts were rewarded when the National Excutive Director of the Young Marines awarded the Temecula Valley Young Marines the "Distiguished unit Citation".

March 2002 ~ March 2003

Michael Roberts

In March of 2002, Mike Roberts started the Temecula Valley Young Marines. he remained as the Commanding Officer from March of 2002 until he was called back to active duty in March of 2003 for Operation Iraqi freedom, the unit command was then handed over to Michael Guiles. CO Roberts still remians an active supporter of the Temecula Valley Young Marines. CO Roberts recieved a Purple heart for injuries recieved from sniper fire in Iraq.
