The Tuefel Hunden riders was a concept developed by Young Marine 1stSgt. Guiles. Young Marine 1stSgt. Guiles' idea was to help raise much needed funds for the Young Marines organization to ensure that the organization can hold SPACES, ACES and other events in the future. Young Marine 1st Sgt. Guiles has come up with four reasons for this club:
- Selling memberships will help support the individual unit and the national HQ's.
- The idea of the Tefuel Hunden Riders was to promote inter unit camaraderie of the Adult Staff, Parents and older Young Marines through inter unit motorcycle rides in and out of their home state.
- This Ride club is the vision of Young Marine 1stSgt. Guiles for multiple units to ride to the wall and join together as they pass through states with Young Marine units Tuefel Hunden riders.
- Young Marine 1st Sgt. Guiles would like to put the Young Marine Organization in the Guinness book of world records before he retires for the Young Marines in 2011.
In early spring of 2009 Young Marine 1st Sgt. Guiles asked the Young Marines National executive director for permission to start the Tefuel Hunden Riders club. The National Executive Director gave Young Marine 1st Sgt. Guiles permission to start the Tefuel Hunden riders club. With the understanding that all unit rides are not covered under the Young Marines Insurance policy and that all riders must have their own insurance and sign statement releasing the Young Marines organization of all liability. in Late September of 2009 the Tefuel Hunden Riders officially open its web site.
