On Sunday September 20th the Temecula Valley Young Marines color guard ventured down to San Diego. The color guard was asked by the wounded warriors foundation to present the colors at the annual San Diego bay Thunder boat competitions http://www.sandiegobayfair.org/. Young Marines MSgt. Guiles, Sgt. Blake, Sgt. Aguilar and Cpl. Munoz arrived early with XO Aguilar and Asst. Paymaster Mrs. Munoz

there was still time before the event so the Young Marines were taken on a tour of the area

As the time grew near the YoungMarines decided to get into their positions early, the way was made clear by the security personnel. The Young Marines waited in anticipation for their que to march out. The young singer from Mt. Carmel High school stepped out and took her position. The Young Marines were given the go ahead to march out the colors.
As the Young Marines marched out the colors the ESPN announcer announced the please rise for the marching of the colors by the “Temecula Valley Young Marines”. There was a thunder of cheers as the Young Marines marched out. The colors were presented and the National Anthem was sung

. According to Sandy the Wounded Warriors liaison she said there were people in tears and yelling thank you to the Young Marines. Sandy also said they were the best color guard she has seen yet and that is why she keeps our Young Marines handy for color guard duty.
The Young Marines retired the colors

and watched a little bit of the Thunder boat races
and then packed up and headed back to home to Temecula. Outstanding job color guard you represented the Unit and the Young Marines organization in an outstanding manner.
