The Temecula Valley Young Marines Security force is comprised of Young Marines who aspire to in the Law Enforcement field when they get older.
 

Our Security Force Platoon Commander is Carlsbad Police Officer and Unit Staff memebr Mr. Tashoff . The Security Force was brought to life by YM/1sSgt. Guiles 4 years ago, since that time we have added Corpsman to the security force. The security force members undergo 46 hours of training in Police Explorer type training as well as 30 hours of CPR and First aid training.

Each Security Force Officer must have:

  1. Security force personnel are chosen only from the current graduting recruit class.
  2. Maintain 2.5 GPA or higher "C' average in school with no "F's"
  3. You must attend school regularly with no chronic absences
  4. Be active in the unit (This means going to every drill or event)
  5. Maintain a high PFT
  6. Be the age of 13
  7. Have good leadership skills
  8. Maintain and advocate a healthy drug free lifestyle
  9. Have the ability to get up in front of people and talk
  10. Present themselves in a professional manner at all times
  11. Must pass and maintain CPR & First aid training .

The Security Force is a part of the unit that helps enforce the rules and regulations of the Commanding Officer, protect the unit property and more importantly help to ensure the safety of their fellow Young Marines.
